Sunland expands Foreign Trade Zone warehousing in Simpsonville

Sunland Logistics Solutions is expanding its Foreign Trade Zone warehousing services in the Southeast by activating 732,500 square feet of FTZ space at its Simpsonville location near Interstate 85.

A U.S. Foreign Trade Zone is a designated location in the United States where companies can import, store, handle, manufacture, or re-export goods without being subject to U.S. Customs duties until the goods enter U.S. commerce, according to a news release. These zones are intended to encourage economic activity and investment in the U.S. by reducing costs associated with importing and exporting.

Due to recent shifts in U.S. global trade strategy — particularly the rise in tariffs and trade policy volatility — importers and exporters are increasingly seeking Foreign Trade Zone warehousing space to mitigate financial risk and improve supply chain flexibility, according to Sunland Logistics Solutions.
