New additions have been completed at the Charleston Veterinary Referral Center, making the veterinary facility 32,000 square feet.
After doubling its space, the expanded facility is accepting patients at 3484 Shelby Ray Court, according to a news release.
“Our expanded facility allows us to care for more patients while continuing to elevate the quality, comfort and medical excellence our clients and referring veterinarians expect,” Holly Williams, hospital director, said in the release. “Every aspect of this expansion was designed with pets, families and our medical teams in mind.”
CVRC said the construction on the facility began in August 2024 and was intended to improve patient care, client experience and continue growth for specialty, emergency and urgent care services.
Some new additions include two lobbies, six surgical suites, 10 additional exam rooms and an expanded emergency department, physical rehabilitation department, lab and pharmacy, and ICU.
Frampton Construction of Ladson was the general contractor, BDA Architecture was in charge of design and civil engineering was provided by Independence Engineering.
