An agriculture- and art-themed tour in Richland County is back for another year.

The Richland County Ag + Art Tour is returning for a 14th year, offering residents and visitors a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of agriculture and art in South Carolina’s capital county, a news release stated. The tour, which showcases local farms, art studios and community markets, will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 7 and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 8.

This free, family-friendly event invites people to discover Richland County’s diverse agricultural traditions, with opportunities to tour working farms, meet local artisans, and witness the creativity that thrives in this region, the release stated. From handcrafted pottery and paintings to fresh produce and farm animals, the Ag + Art Tour offers something for all ages.

Key Features

Farm visits: Take a self-guided tour of working farms and interact with farmers, learn about sustainable agriculture practices, and enjoy guided tours, hands-on workshops, and chicken races.

Art stops: Explore local artists’ studios and galleries and meet artisans at each tour site. Discover a wide range of artwork, from fine art to handmade crafts. Many artists will demonstrate their creative processes, giving visitors a deeper appreciation for their work.

Dining: Enjoy food trucks, bakers and local cuisine that highlight the County’s culinary heritage.

Family-friendly interactive experiences: Special events for children, including farm animal interactions, scavenger hunts and more, make the tour an ideal outing for families.

“The Ag + Art Tour is a wonderful way to connect with our community and experience the rich agricultural and artistic talents that make Richland County unique,” said Amanda Jones, Richland County Ag + Art Tour coordinator, in the release. “This event brings people together in celebration of local farming, art and culture, and we are excited to welcome guests of all ages.”
